We’re not able to share a meal with our departed friends and family members, and our fast highlights this fact. We’re fasting until April 4, the anniversary of Dr. King’s death.
What if I’ve never fasted before?
Well, there’s a first time for everything.
Be aware of the side effects, you may experience headaches, dizziness, feeling light-headed, and fatigue. To make it through, don’t focus on your hunger, focus on the souls lost, the one’s who don’t have the option to nourish their bodies with food, due to violence and get support from others. Also be sure to drink plenty of water and get rest when needed.
What do I need to do?
From sun up to sun down, April 1 – April 4, refrain from eating anything; your only beverage should be water. Before sunrise and after sunset, you can eat.
